The music of Liberty Baptist Church can be best described as “Biblical.” At Liberty you will hear the timeless hymns and gospel songs that have built and strengthened the New Testament church throughout the past several hundred years. Yet, you will also see obedience to the Bible's command to “sing a new song” as we are thrilled and challenged by the greatest God-honoring songs of our day. The emphasis is the message, not the musician; the Master’s approval, not men’s applause.

To “Sing forth the honor of his name” is the supreme goal of the Liberty Choir. Vibrant, Christ-honoring music is vital in worshiping God, as well as in preparing hearts for the preaching of His Word. Each Sunday service the choir seeks to “lift up Christ” in song so that “all can be drawn to Him” in spirit.

Endeavoring to see all our members using their God given gifts to the fullest, many different groups are formed that regularly bless our services as people honor Christ with their musical abilities. These groups include the Gloryroad Singers, the Soul Purpose mixed ensemble, the Voices Rejoicing ladies ensemble, and the more recent Men of Purpose quartet.

We do not neglect the command of Psalm 33:3 which says to “play skillfully with a loud noise.” The Sounds of Praise orchestral ensemble plays at each Sunday service, and includes several brass, string and wind instruments. Along with piano, organ and keyboard, they aide the congregation and choir to fulfill Psalm 66:2b: “make His praise glorious.” In addition, each Sunday evening our intermediate orchestral group rehearses and accompanies the congregational singing as they prepare to add their “joyful noise” to the Sounds of Praise.

Each week the “Patch Kids” learn godly Christian lessons from the Bible that are reinforced by scripture memorization, drama, and songs included in the Patch the Pirate Club program. Monthly the children present songs like “Title 1” and “Title 2” and become an anticipated addition to the regular Sunday evening service. Children from K-4 through 6th grade are eligible to become a “Patch Kid.”
